Question
Does Philips WACS7000 support Windows Vista™?
Answer
What are the Windows Vista™ System Requirements?
We recommend you consult this Microsoft Technet article: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/windowsvista/evaluate/hardware/vistarpc.mspx
I am considering to upgrade my PC to Windows Vista.
As you may experience partial functionality with the new Windows Vista Operating System and your Philips Device, it is advised to keep your existing Windows Operating System and install Windows Vista in a dual boot configuration.
To use WADM under Window Vista, you are advice to upgrade WADM to v1.7. For the PMM (Use under the uPnP application), you would still need to select the XP compatible mode.
Is my player compatible with Windows Media Player 11 under Windows Vista™?
The device is not fully compatible with Windows Media Player 11 under Windows Vista. You are strongly recommended to use the software provided by Philips to make sure of all of the features of the device available.
To use WMP11 as an uPnP server, like any other uPnP server (which are uPnP compliance) you can assess and play your tracks from the PC but certain features may not be supported. (Look out for future upgrade)
