I concur with the previous reviewer that the screen of the ICN 720 is very clear, the display quality is high class very similar to the latest PSP.
The screen is extra bright even with the lowest brightness level on a bright sunny day. With regards to the features of the unit, the device gets a satellite fix very quickly infact with in a minute (This is with in the house), I opened the box and powered it on and I didn't flip the antenna upwards. This is a definite improvement as many other products takes about 5 minutes to get a GPS fix and that to in out doors. I think the Sirf III is the reason. With regards to destination entry, it has full uk postcode search which is good. Also has loads of local points of interests. You can install your own POI's including speed camera databases. The route calculation can be controlled to avoid motorways, quickest route,shortest route etc. The device gives you an estimated time of arrival based on your speed. The volume of instructions are clear and is audible when you have your car radio on. The built in camera is having 1.5 M resolution the pictures are very clear when taken in outdoor. It would have been better if they provided with a flash then you can just leave your camera altogether on your holiday and just rely on the ICN 720. The touch screen is wide and responsive to fingers rather than the need to use a stylus. The battery life was around 4 hours, but I didn't completely test till it drain out. It comes with maps of UK and Ireland and also main roads of European countries, but if you need streetlevel maps in europe you can purchase an unlock key from Navman for additional cost. Alternatively you can choose the ICN 750. I am very satisfied with this product.
I am clearly amazed by the clarity of this screen. I have had other PDA's which I used as SatNav, however this wide screen product from Navman is truely amazing. The screen is very bright and clear which is clearly an improvement from previous PDA screens which I have used. The maps are much more easier to follow on the wide screen and especially when you are driving. I mainly purchased this unit for the Navpix feature. It is quite simple to navigate using pictures. The camera has 1.5M resolution and the picture quality is good for outdoor pictures. It has full UK postcode search. The accompanying CD has maps of western europe (street level) however these are not usable till you purchase the unlock code from Navman. I am pleased with my new toy.
